Marmalade Boy begins when Miki's Parents come home from a trip to Hawaii and announced that they were going to divorce. The surprising thing is that they met a couple...the Matsuuras...on the trip and instantly fell in love with each others partner. They have decided to exchange partners and the two families live together in the same house. The Matsuuras has a son the same age as Miki named Yuu, who is real cute.^_^    Slowly Miki develops feeling for Yuu, but as Miki and Yuu's relationship develops they undergo many hurdles.

Still interested??? This funny, yet seriously romantic anime is really well worth watching. The drawings are amazingly good, the storyline is fantastic and there's also good catchy music.

Marmalade Boy is written by Yoshizumi Wataruu a very talented author. Some of her other pieces of work includes "Quartet Game", "Handsome na Kanojo", "Kimishika Iranai", "Minto na Bokura" and the latest "Random Walk". The manga was released in "Ribon Mascot Comics" and there are a total of 8 volumes. There was also a chinese release...under 3 different names. The english version of Marmalade boy is released by Mixx Entertainment/Tokyopop.com. So keep a look out for it!!!

The anime of Marmalade Boy has 76 episodes, broadcasted on T.V. from March 1994 until September 1995. There was also a 30 minute movie shown in the theatres. The DVD version is being released soon, which contains the first 6 episodes.
